Coral Cay Conservation are best known for their work on coral reefs in Belize and other tropical seas. They also have a UK-based dive club consisting of those who have undertaken diving conservation projects overseas and who are keen to be part of similar projects in the UK. Knowing of Robert Irving’s experience with working with volunteer divers in the UK and also with his knowledge of marine habitats in the Isles of Scilly, Robert was approached to be their expedition Science Officer for three of their expeditions to the Isles of Scilly between 1995 and 1997.
