Zakum to Das Island facility, UAE (1995) – client: Wimpey Environmental Ltd.
- Undertaking an environmental impact assessment study of the siting of a new oil pipeline running 85 km from a production super-complex within the Zakum oilfield, UAE, to a terminal facility on Das Island. Diving at sites approx. 10 km apart along the proposed route to depths of 8-30 m, notes were made on seabed habitats & communities, accompanied by photographs. Observations were also made of cetaceans, turtles and seabirds.
Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania (1999) – client: IWACO (Netherlands)/TAZAMA
- An environmental impact assessment of the construction of a new oil pipeline, on behalf of TAZAMA, the national oil company of Tanzania & Zambia. Involved assessing likely impact damage to reef, seagrass beds, mangroves and artisnal fisheries.
