Sea-Scope have undertaken physical and biological surveys of caves at Flamborough Head in Yorkshire (client: Natural England), at the Needles on the Isle of Wight (client: Natural England) and on the islands of Mousa (client: Royal Haskoning/Scottish Natural Heritage) and Papa Stour (client: EMU/Scottish Natural Heritage) in Shetland. The detail of survey has ranged from broadscale biotope mapping to detailed Phase 2 surveys. Besides our own expertise, we have been able to draw upon the services of expert phycologists who specialize in cave flora to make up the small survey teams required for such work.
